About 130 Soldiers assigned to the I Corps Headquarters will be reunited with family and friends at Joint Base Lewis-McChord with a “homecoming” ceremony at Soldier Field House, JBLM Lewis Main, currently scheduled for  today at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 26.

The I Corps Soldiers recently completed a 12-month deployment to Afghanistan, where I Corps served as the core of NATO International Security Assistance Force Joint Command Headquarters with operational responsibility throughout all of Afghanistan.

This will be the first large group of I Corps Soldiers to return. The unit’s remaining Soldiers are expected to return to JBLM within the next several weeks.
