Red Ribbon Bazaar a great way to kick off the Holiday Season

Events 0 5

It is fitting that the Steilacoom High School’s Red Ribbon Bazaar is on December first this year because it is a great way to begin the holiday season.

The Bazaar is in its 15th year and is still a much anticipated community event. This year the bazaar will feature wonderful handmade arts and crafts, such as quilts, beautiful jewelry, one of a kind clothing, photography, hand made ornaments, festive wreaths and many other items.

Students are very involved in the bazaar including hosting a bake sale, providing gift wrapping  and offering children’s activities and Santa photos. The men’s choirs from Steilacoom High School and Pioneer Middle School will be performing at 1 p.m. and the women’s choirs will be performing at 2 p.m.

There will be a silent auction of table top trees and baskets with all the proceeds going directly to student clubs and groups. The Class of 2013 will be drawing the winners of the 32 inch RCA LCD HDTV flat screen, the Kindle Fire and the Keurig Coffee Maker at the Bazaar.

The Red Ribbon Bazaar will be held at Steilacoom High School between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. The school is located at 54 Sentinel Dr in Steilacoom.
