Shop Small on Saturday Nov. 24 and support your local businesses

The Steilacoom Chamber of Commerce and the DuPont Business Association would like to remind everyone to shop small on Saturday, November 24 and support your local businesses.

Saturday is a day to spend your holiday dollars right here in our local communities. Relax and enjoy a slower paced shopping day. Grab a coffee or lunch at one of our many restaurants in DuPont and Steilacoom.

Where to shop?  The Steilacoom Historical Museum will have its gift shop open on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.. Topside Bar and Grill is offering a deal on gift cards, where if you buy $100 worth of gift cards, you will get an additional $20 gift card as their way of saying thank you. The DuPont Healthmart Pharmacy has greeting cards, gift cards and small gift items. For the wine enthusiast on your list, our local liquor stores carry a good selection of Washington wines and small gift items as well. You can always order handmade toffee, made in DuPont, through PJ’s Sweet Factory website.

So remember to shop small and support our local, independent businesses this Saturday, and every day if you can.
